Where is Phuket and Krabi?
Thailand is a bit like a horseshoe on the map. But Phuket and Krabi are down in the Anderman sea. Some of the best beaches in the world with most well know islands also, James bond, maya maya island. There is over 90 plus special island in this park.
Concierge ?
On call, WhatsApp messaging and phone calls, at start of trip you will be given all tour details planned with information card etc to help your trip along from day one. Need info just call. Missed your unplanned event and stuck somewhere and need help, Chemist translation for medical reason and where to find, or need a doctor to hotel. The hotel locations are setup personally by us for the simple reason the taxi, scooters, tuk tuk are all there in patong, the closest chemist is 20 meters away, Krabi depending on which tour you take will give you access to hotel shuttles and medical support 24hrs a day at medical clinics. With backup from local expats and real local friends your trip will be supported. you will always have local support and home country support overnight.
Which flights are ideal?
We have found over the years that Jetstar offers the best prices for arrival and departure times for leaving Melbourne and returning. Being registered travel agency with Jetstar we are able to book flights for groups of 10 or more. From Sydney and Melbourne, the flight times are prefect for these tours, landing on 1st night and getting to hotels checked in by 9:30pm at latest, A little food and a drink then bed for next day adventures. If using a different airline extra cost for shuttle and yes i can setup this transfer also. We have transport on request and the drivers we have are vetted.
Is Phuket safe ?
Most parts of Thailand are extremely safe, but you will get scammed easier thou is certain places. Pick pockets are all around but the hot spots are certain areas of Bangkok, most locals in phuket chase off such bad behavior. Phuket is developed with three private hospitals and four government hospitals, the Tourist operators are at all different levels so it’s usually safe and regulated, but breakdowns will be around with cheaper operators. So we recommend getting high quality travel insurance and you will get access to the best medical treatment if needed.
How much do thai police interfere
Thailand has relaxed, never seen a police office carry a machine gun yet! water pistols all the time in songkran, Seriously there very relaxed and only really pick on the scooters with road blocks everywhere. Wehave had some personal fun with a few cops here and there, men in brown, there fun when you treat them with respect. The tourist police are another force and are there to help us around the tourist hot spots, speaking english to assist, We have come across many normal police that speak good english also,
Is water/ice safe
Not to drink, yes to wash shower and brush teeth, The water quality is bad due to heavy metals etc, not so much bacteria. The ice needs to bought from a high quality vendor and it’s safe, There is many safe places to drink cocktails with ice etc.
Driving and riding
Yes we can, International Driving Permit (IDP) and corresponding license is need. We would not suggest riding a scooter unless you have experience around patong. Maybe after a few trips this is best done.
Mobile phone sim/esim
Extremely easy to setup both systems, scanning and qr code can automatically setup phone. Sim cards are everywhere also, the new thing is esim, Vodafone offer the $5 day roaming use your phone like normal, Telstra offer $5 a day and 1gig data, We personally use esim and my phone remembers every Wi-Fi place i visit, There’s free Wi-Fi everywhere and it’s about 5 times faster then Australia. In the hotels you can easy change over your phone.
Sunburn
Yeah it's pretty easy to turn red in one day so use good quality sunscreen.
Food poisoning
Yes you can get sick anywhere in the world, here too, there's too much nice food not to try but, stay near the locals and don't pick quite shops stalls etc. More foot traffic the fresher and locals will know. They love there food also.
Visa
Too easy to help you all out, The new system launched may 1st 2025 is online now and makes it very easy to move through airports. No stress again
Power and charger’s
A simple cheap wall adapter will fit and make anything from Australia work at 240 volts easy, lots of venues have USB charging points also, worst case a local at a venue will quick charge your phone for 10 mins easy if ask. they use the same power, just different plug.
Off peak Vrs Peak
Jetstar flights drop to an average of $350 off peak, $800 peak just one way. The hotels can drop anywhere between from 15% to 40% , All these trips will reflect the pricing at fair value, meaning you can book it yourself at same price as we can, or even booking.com etc. These trips are all as advertised with everything included pre booked stress free and weather protected. September is best month too travel cheap
Weather
Biggest topic ever, Yes moonson weather is around, and they have flash floods and rain days. We go all times of the year and never been caught in a flood yet, or days of endless raining. We have seen rain and ruff sea’s in June July august . also seen massive floods on news and media and video’s from friends the week before we landed a few times, our thai friends send us live updates of weather and conditions. The patterns have change like in our home countries also. So think like this, do i want off peak or on peak pricing and tourist level’s.
The trips are setup with 2 days of spare time to rotate around in case of bad weather and should get good 3-5 day weather warnings, we will be very active in making the best out of your trip no matter what. The day’s will be rotated around and new details to suit the best possible time you can have. There is backup adventures awaiting if rained out. The hotels are selected in high area’s well above sea level and plenty of drainage for footpaths and roads. Hotels all have umbrellas to use so don’t be scared of warm rain. Even in peak season it can and will rain. Just not the ruff seas from the west.
English
Most shops and vendors will have ok English, the bars have a mix range of well-spoken to none, and the transport is very hit and miss, sometimes you can get a well-spoken driver and other times will be using phone and maps to translate, Anywhere outside of tourist hot spots you will find harder to talk English, but in saying that it’s really easy to get around, The tour preferred places we have selected - hotel, events and drivers are good English spoken
Washout Refund
If all fails and the islands is shut down for bad weather, your costs of missed adventures will be refunded, clearly broken down and explained and fully refunded, Accommodation and hotel transfers used will be excluded.
